AT RAINBOW COMMUNITY SCHOOL
DRAWING WITHOUT FEAR - A User-friendly Medium
10 weeks Tues 6:30pm-9:30pm June 12 - August 14, 2018
Fee -$175 574 Haywood Rd., Asheville NC
Not your typical drawing class, it’s designed for
people who always wanted to learn to draw but were skittish about it, or for those seeking to expand or refresh drawing skills.
You’ll explore a series of specific exercises that build on each other
to greatly improve your ability to “see like an artist”, while challenging you to use your imagination and make
your drawings uniquely your own. There are as many drawing styles as there are people! All the basics such as composition,
shading, texture, light & shadow, and (good old) perspective will be covered - and they provide a strong foundation that
you’ll use again & again in any media in the future. There will be weekly slide shows that introduce you to a wide
variety of artists and techniques from history and contemporary art, and we’ll discuss a possible field trip around
town to draw on site.
Enrollment is limited. To enroll email Pam at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 415-297-4207
